Our Aspirations
A different way of thinking
Fairness (and therefore unfairness) are subjective terms and our understanding of them is influenced by personal values. Fairness is not in fact a core value for everyone - even those who say it is don’t always walk the talk. Achieving a fairer world, as desirable as this is, is also not within any one person’s immediate control. Recognizing that unfairness exists and is endemic is a far cry from being able to deal with the huge challenges the world faces. There needs to be a new way of thinking to motivate those whose world view does not incorporate fairness at its heart and this means achieving a shift in the way in which seemingly intractable issues are approached.
The Conflict Cracker
Developed by Ian D. Ross in 2006, and applied successfully in resolving conflict and seemingly unsolvable problems for more than 25 years, the Conflict Cracker is a six step process to unlock new opportunities for movement in what might otherwise appear to be a deadlocked situation. The secret to success is identifying a leverage point for action which has been hidden or ignored due to perceived barriers, entrenched positions and apparent obstacles to progress. Watch the videos, listen to the podcasts and dip into the document links below to find out how The Conflict Cracker has the potential to create a different kind of dialogue that in turn could lead to different solutions when it comes to tackling unfairness. How could the Conflict Cracker be useful for you?
